The first ever all women’s pay per view will take place this Sunday, October 28 at 7:00 pm eastern time on the WWE network. I have thought about the upcoming matches and everything leading up to them, so I am prepared to give my predictions on this monumental show.
This will only be the second pay per view since gohomepwb.com started. My predictions for Super Show-down in Australia were pretty close to spot on. So my overall record for picking pay per view matches correctly is: 8-2. So if you don’t like spoilers quit reading now. Just kidding, please keep reading and let’s take a look at my predictions.
The Riott Squad vs Sasha Banks, Bayley and Natalya
The six woman tag match should be a good one. I look for the Riott Squad to be in control through most of the match. Based on the lead up to Evolution and the short rivalry between the two teams, I am leaning more towards Sasha, Bayley and Natalya. So officially I am calling it a win for Sasha, Bayley and Natalya.
gohomepwb.com pick: Sasha Banks, Bayley and Natalya
Battle Royal match
So this is probably a guarantee miss on my prediction, but I will take a shot at it. At first I wanted to pick a legend to win it, however I recently learned that the winner will get a future Women’s championship match. So that basically eliminates the idea of a legend winning. I can tell you my favorite in this match is Carmella, but I don’t think they she will win. After looking at all the wrestlers in the match I am torn between Ember Moon, Asuka or Nia Jax. It could be a surprise winner as well, to start a push for someone like, Dana Brooke, Zelina Vega or Lana. But I think I will play it safe and go with Asuka.
gohomepwb.com pick: Asuka
Mae Young Classic Finals
Truthfully I have not followed the Mae Young classic tournament. I have done a little research on the finalist Toni Storm and Io Shirai. Between the two I like Toni Storm and will make her my pick to win the Mae Young classic.
gohomepwb.com pick: Toni Storm
Trish Stratus and Lita vs Mickie James and Alexa Bliss
This one is harder than it would appear. It could go either way in my opinion. There has been some question as to whether or not Alexa will be able to compete in the match. It sounds as if she had suffered a concussion in the past week, and with a concussion it could be a day or two for recovery, or a month or two. Sometimes they are a career ending injury. Lets hope she is able to recover and can make it to the Evolution pay per view. So as for my pick, it really depends on if Alexa will be there. If Alexa is there I think her team will win, however if Alicia Fox replaces her, I like Trish and Lita. I would guess that WWE would error on the side of caution and keep Alexa on the sidelines for this pay per view, and Alicia replace her. So I look for Trish and Lita to pick up the win.
gohomepwb.com pick: Trish Stratus and Lita
NXT Women’s Championship
Kairi Sane the current NXT women’s champion will put her title on the line against the dangerous Shayna Baszler. I have my thoughts on what the future holds for Baszler, and that is why I think she will not regain the NXT championship this Sunday. Keep reading to find out my thoughts on where Baszler is headed. I don’t think it will take away from the match though. There match at the last Takeover was amazing, and I look for this match to equal that level of greatness. But at the end of the match, look for Sane to win it.
gohomepwb.com pick: Kairi Sane
RAW Women’s Championship
The Bella’s, more specifically Nikki will challenge Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s championship at Evolution. Ronda has been getting the better of the Bella’s in recent weeks verbally. However, Ronda is in a match that is unlike any match she has been in before. Yes I realize it is a singles match, but is it really? We know that Brie will be at ringside and will be playing a major part in the pyschology of the match. I personally think that Shayna Baszler will play the role as equalizer in the match. There is a known friendship between Baszler and Rousey, but much like Amborse and Rollins on Monday night, I think we are in for a turn. This is a long shot, but I have a feeling Baszler will turn on Rousey costing her the championship. Setting up a rivalry between Baszler and Rousey. So in my upset pick of the night Nikki Bella will be your new RAW women’s champion.
gohomepwb.com pick: Nikki Bella
Smackdown Women’s Championship
If this match doesn’t close the show Sunday night, something is wrong with the WWE. This has been one of the hottest rivalries on the main roster, and I don’t look for it to cool down at all this Sunday. The match is the first ever last woman standing match on the main roster. There are so many ways this could play out. I have been saying for a solid month now that the writers should have a double turn in this match at this pay per view. It’s the first ever all women’s pay per view, and we need a lot to talk about after the show is over. I think we are going to see some great matches, but we need some great storylines coming out of it as well. And obviously Charlotte vs Becky is already a great storyline, so why end it by having Becky win? I say put the title on Charlotte and have her do a lot of heelish things in the match. Becky could keep fighting and fighting showing that never give up spirit. But at the end of the match Charlotte, goes full-blown heel and puts Becky down for the ten count. This would give the crowd a reason to boo Charlotte and Becky would be cheered for good reason now. That is what I would like to see, and I have a feeling we may see something like that. My pick is for Charlotte to win.
gohomepwb.com pick: Charlotte
If Evolution plays out the way I hope, this has the potential to be one of the best pay per views of the year. I think it’s great that WWE is giving all these opportunities for women in wrestling. I think we are past the Evolution of women’s wrestling…it’s here! Now give us some great storylines. I am looking forward to watching the pay per view, and I will have a review on Monday morning. Thanks for checking out gohomepwb.com and have a great weekend!
