GoHomePWB.com Weekly Top Ten

A couple of great go home shows before the Royal Rumble this week. I have another split as far as which show was better. The storylines and angles were better on RAW, but Smackdown Live had the better in ring action. Andrade and Mysterio stole the show once again for the third week in a row and obviously both cracked the top ten.

So let’s take a look at this weeks top ten:

10. Bobby Lashley

The new intercontinental champion continues to antagonize the WWE universe and continues to win as well. This week he had an impromptu match against a game Apollo Crews. Crews displayed an impressive offensive onslaught, but in the end it was Lio Rush’s distraction that helped Lashley pick up the victory.

9. Mandy Rose

Cracking the gohomepwb.com weekly top ten for the first time is Mandy Rose. Mandy has been on quite the push in recent weeks and rumor has it Vince McMahon is very high on her. Her wrestling gets better every week and it doesn’t hurt that she is a total knock out. Her rivalry with Naomi is growing, and don’t be surprised if Naomi gets a little revenge on Sunday.

8. Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin continues to pick up wins on RAW almost every week. The problem is, it’s at the expense of Elias, who was on his way to being a top babyface. Corbin is a natural heel and is getting better every week in the ring and on the mic. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him with an intercontinental title run by the end of the year.

7. Finn Balor

Finn Balor with a clean win would have been in the top five this week, but despite not getting a decision, he proved to the WWE universe that he is ready for Sunday. An unenviable task as he takes on “The Beast” Brock Lesnar. Look for Balor to give “The Beast” a run for his money.

6. Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks continues to look strong headed into her showdown with Ronda Rousey this Sunday at the Royal Rumble. Despite her wardrobe malfunction Monday night, “The Boss” was able to pick up the win for her and Bayley in the main event. Sasha is hungry to be a champion again and has a “legit” chance of giving Rousey her first singles loss.

5. The Bar

The Bar absolutely laid waste to The Miz and Shane McMahon last night. Cesaro picked up the one on one victory over The Miz and then, with teammate Sheamus, went on to brutally embarrass the newly formed “co-besties” team. A beat down like that usually means bad things for the bullies on a go home show. Check out gohomepwb.com Friday for my official prediction.

4. Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe had a pretty good night last night, until he was hit with an RKO by the returning Randy Orton. Joe went one on one with Mustafa Ali and after a great match was able to make the cruiserweight tap out to his finisher. He then put a halt to the two out of three falls main event match between Rey Mysterio and Andrade, when he interrupted and put a beating on both men. Joe is my dark horse to win the Rumble on Sunday.

3. Rey Mysterio

I don’t know how they do it each week, but Rey Mysterio and Andrade are absolutely incredible in the ring together. They matched last weeks five star match with yet another astonishing match that saw Rey take a standing power bomb from the top rope. A rare botch by Rey towards the end of the match is the only reason Andrade gets the nod this week.

2. Andrade

As mentioned already Andrade and Rey stole the show yet again last night. Andrade, who believe it or not is still in his rookie year on the main roster, has been nothing more than incredible since coming up. He has a bright future ahead of him, and getting the rub from a guy like Rey Mysterio is only going to boost his already rocket like rise to the top.

1. Seth Rollins

Seth “Freaking” Rollins is picking up a lot of momentum headed into this Sunday’s Royal Rumble. He was able to give Drew McIntyre a rare loss on Monday night following an amazing match. Right now, although I’m not officially calling it, Seth Rollins is my favorite to win the Rumble this Sunday.

There you have it, this weeks top ten is in the books, and now I will be looking at the matches for this weekends Takeover and Royal Rumble pay per views. Check out gohomepwb.com this Friday for my official predictions. As always thanks for checking out gohomepwb.com, the people’s wrestling blog!
