Round one continues of the GoHomePWB.com WWE March madness tournament.  Today I will go over the bottom left bracket’s match ups.  Only two upsets in the top left, that being Mustafa Ali and Cesaro.  Lets see how todays match ups work out as I have my own March madness tournament.

Brock Lesnar vs Zack Ryder

This is a no brainer, Zack Ryder wouldn’t last one minute in the ring with Brock Lesnar.  No upsets here.

Rey Mysterio vs Andrade

A great first round match up that could go either way.  These two have proven to everyone that they can put on a five-star match.  I think this match would come down to a distraction from Zelina Vega, giving Andrade the opportunity to hit Mysterio illegally, and pick up the win.

Drew McIntyre vs Shane McMahon

This would be a great match to see, especially with McMahon playing the role of the heel.  Years ago, McIntyre was the ‘chosen one’ by Vince McMahon and now that he has a decade of experience under his belt, he is tearing up the competition.  I think in a match between these two, McMahon would crash and burn after going for a high risk maneuver and McIntyre would hit the Claymore kick for the win.

Kevin Owens vs Matt Hardy

I feel like this one is pretty predictable at this point in Matt Hardy’s career.  He’s had quite the run in professional wrestling, but I don’t think he is any match for Kevin Owens and the pop up powerbomb.  Or stunner.  Not sure what he uses as a finisher anymore…anyways, Owens with the win.

Kofi Kingston vs Sheamus

Five, six, seven years ago I would have said Sheamus no problem.  Currently, Kofi Kingston is untouchable especially in the fans eyes.  Much like their opening match on Smackdown last Tuesday during the gauntlet, I think it would be a great back and forth, but Kofi would eventually pick up the win.

Asuka vs EC3

Two wrestlers who have been put on the back burner.  The problem is, Asuka is the Smackdown women’s champion.  Why doesn’t she have a more prominent role on Smackdown?  Anyway, I think in a dark match before RAW, Asuka would defeat EC3, probably making him tap.  She would then rip his mask off (like in Scooby-Doo) and reveal EC3 as James Ellsworth and foil his one last attempt to squeeze another second out of his fifteen minutes of fame.

Dean Ambrose vs Ricochet

I think this would be a really good match.  A long back and forth contest with a lot of false finishes.  I think by the end of the match, Ricochet would hit his incredible finisher on Ambrose and pick up the upset victory.

Braun Strowman vs Lio Rush

Lio Rush is pesky and would maybe last longer than Zack Ryder in a match with Brock Lesnar, but no way Lio Rush wins this one.  It would only be a matter of time before Strowman got a hold of Rush and squashed him like a bug.

Halfway through the first round and the second round is looking like some really good match ups are on tap.  Only two upsets in these eight matches.  Ricochet over Ambrose and Andrade over Mysterio, which is really more of a pickem between an eight and nine seed. The tournament continues on Monday as I go through the match ups on the top right-side.
