Pro Wrestling Weekly Top Ten

A fun couple of nights on RAW and Smackdown, and anytime you have a special show it’s hard to get a top ten. But I managed to do it and feel pretty good about this weeks rankings. So let’s take a look at who made the list this week.

10. Ember Moon (3)

Ember Moon was only on tv for about three minutes this week, but she made quite the impact picking up a win over “The Queen” Charlotte Flair. She then hit her “Eclipse” finisher on not only Charlotte, but on current Smackdown women’s champion Bayley. I believe Charlotte will be added to the women’s title match before Summerslam and I would be ok with that.

9. Rey Mysterio (11)

Rey Mysterio had a big night Monday during the RAW reunion picking up a big win against Sami Zayn. Granted Mysterio had a little help from legends like; Rob Van Dam, Sgt. Slaughter, The Hurricane and Kurt Angle, but he basically had the match won before Zayn tried to walk out.

8. The Viking Raiders (6)

The Viking Raiders have yet to lose since coming up to the main roster. Monday night they absolutely dismantled former tag team champions, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins. At the current rate the Viking Raiders are on pace to be the tag team equivalent to Braun Strowman. A great spot to be in for the newcomers.

7. Kofi Kingston (15)

Current WWE champion Kofi Kingston looked last night on Smackdown as he had a match against Samoa Joe. The match was actually pretty good, but was ended early when Randy Orton interrupted and tried to RKO Kingston. Kingston reversed it and hit Orton with a trouble in paradise.

6. Bray Wyatt (2)

Bray Wyatt’s new character is hard to ignore. He looks as scary as any WWE superstar in history and he used Mick Foley’s own finisher against him Monday night. He then accepted Finn Balor’s challenge for a match at Summerslam making it the first time Bray Wyatt has wrestled in over a year.

5. The Uso’s (13)

Jimmy and Jey Uso were able to defeat the RAW tag team champions The Revival, Monday night. Not only did they defeat them they did it with the help of their father, WWE hall of famer, Rikishi. Prior to the match they were able to get John Cena to channel the “Dr. of Thuganomics”. A pretty fun segment to say the least.

4. Kevin Owens (6)

Stone Cold Kevin Owens had a pretty good night last night hitting several stunners on Elias and Shane McMahon. Owens isn’t actually taking the moniker of Stone Cold, but his recent character direction has him headed in that direction. I like it, and Owens got quite the pop from the Miami crowd last night.

3. Dolph Ziggler (8)

Dolph Ziggler didn’t have a match this week, but man did he make a statement. He had quite the back and forth with Shawn Michaels and The Miz. Things finally broke down between the three of them and it ended with Ziggler hitting Shawn Michaels with a super kick. It’s shaping up to be Ziggler versus The Miz at Summerslam, but I hope it Ziggler and HBK, a dream match.

2. Shinsuke Nakamura (5)

Current intercontinental champion Shinsuke Nakamura had a great match against Apollo Crews last night on Smackdown. So good in fact that I think it did a lot for the trajectory of Apollo Crews. It’s really good to see Nakamura back and being used in a positive manner.

1. Roman Reigns (10)

Making the list for the tenth time and ranked number one this week is Roman Reigns. He had the match of the week on RAW against Samoa Joe. He then had a match on Smackdown with Kevin Owens which actually ended up being a Shane McMahon beat down. Reigns actually helped Owens hit McMahon with not one, but two stunners sending the Miami crowd home happy.

I can’t say much negative about RAW and Smackdown this week. A couple of entertaining nights and some really good matches. Thanks for checking out this weeks top ten and as always thanks for checking out gohomepwb.com, the people’s wrestling blog!
