GoHomePWB.com weekly top 10

An amazing weekend of War Games and Survivor Series was followed by an ok RAW and a forgettable Smackdown. I have to give the win to RAW for a better show this week. I’ve tied in Survivor Series in some of my decisions this week. So, let’s take a look at this weeks top ten.

10. Asuka

Asuka was able to get the win last night for her tag team match with Naomi. She made Sonya Deville tap out. I look for Sonya to get a push soon, but it would be nice is they would get Asuka back on track. She’s done nothing since losing to Charlotte at Wrestlemania. Becky Lynch is the only woman WWE fans want to see right now, so it is probably best that she lay low for a while.

9. The New Day

The new day was victorious on Smackdown last night winning the Thanksgiving themed match. They were also a part of the only winning Smackdown team Sunday. So, on a very bland Smackdown Live at was at least humorous.

8. Natalya

Natalya comes in at number eight this week after beating basically all three member of the job squad. Oops! I mean the Riott Squad. I like seeing a long time vet like Natalya get some respect from WWE.

7. Bobby Roode and Chad Gable

These guys. I’m still not a fan of the team, but I can’t deny the success they have had in recent weeks. Including beating the RAW tag team champions A.O.Pee pee as the WWE universe calls them now. They will probably have a title match at The TLC kickoff show.

6. Randy Orton

Randy Orton has been on a roll lately. Last night he completely destroyed Rey Mysterio. Not only did he beat him, he also unmasked him and left him laying while disrespecting his mask and heritage. I’ve said for weeks, maybe months, that Orton is the best heel in the WWE.

5. Baron Corbin

This might be the first time Corbin has cracked my top ten, but it is well deserved. He was able to nearly sweep Survivor Series on Sunday as acting RAW GM. And he orchestrated the worst beating I’ve ever seen Braun Strowman take.

4. Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose didn’t even have a match Monday night, but he made waves verbally and physically. His mind games with Seth Rollins was the perfect bait to get Rollins to the ring. Ambrose went on to beat up Rollins eventually putting him in not one, but two dirty deeds finishers. I look for Ambrose to probably take the intercontinental title from Rollins at TLC.

3. Ronda Rousey

And still undefeated… Ronda Rousey. How come that is never brought up on television? She took a horrendous beating Sunday night at the hands of Charlotte, then came out on RAW and defended her title against Mickie James. She has proven her toughness, but she is dangerously close to becoming “polarizing”, WWE’s term for … the fans don’t like you. Hopefully for her sake she can accept the boos and use it as fuel to be the best she can be.

2. Daniel Bryan

If you had any questions about Daniel Bryan’s health, worry no more. He took several German suplexes from Brock Lesnar on Sunday night and eventually lost the match. But when the show ended, he was smiling? This could be a lengthy title reign for Bryan and I like it. Last night he gave weird, but insightful promo that revealed a lot of what to expect from heel Daniel Bryan.

1. Charlotte

Who else would be number one this week?  All the talk was about Charlotte after Survivor Series and rightfully so. She put Rousey through it after she got herself disqualified. I must say I didn’t much care for her promo last night, but she made the IIconics  look bad beating both of them. It’s a very Becky Lynch like attitude, that is somewhat confusing, but it’s an aggression that is needed if she is getting anywhere close to that Women’s title. I am just not a fan of her mic work, and I can’t quite put my finger on it. I don’t know if it’s her voice or her inflection when she talks, but something just makes me want to mute my television when she’s on the mic. But she’s number one regardless, for the beating she gave Rousey Sunday night.

Let me know what you think of this weeks top ten. Also check us out later this week as I finish the series on my favorite wrestlers.
