Thanks for checking out gohomepwb.com for WWE’s Super Show-Down predictions. I think it will be great show, and plan on getting up early on Saturday to watch it! So why wait, let’s get started with the predictions
Iconics vs Asuka & Naomi
Asuka and Naomi have the unfortunate task of taking on the Iconics. The Iconics will be in their home country and in front of seventy thousand fans. I don’t think there is anything that Asuka and Naomi can do to win over the crowd, and I look for the Iconics to pick up the win. It will probably not be a clean win, but a win nonetheless.
gohomepwb.com pick: Iconics
The New Day vs The Bar for Smackdown Tag Team Championship
The Bar and The New Day will do battle for the Smackdown Live Tag Team Championship. If I know WWE like I think I do, I believe The New Day will get the win and retain the titles. I like The Bar, and as a matter of fact, they made my top ten list yesterday. But I just don’t think The New Day will be dropping the title’s anytime soon.
gohomepwb.com pick: The New Day
John Cena & Bobby Lashley vs Elias & Kevin Owens
I may be wrong, but I don’t think we have seen John Cena since the last time the WWE had a PPV outside of the United States. At the Greatest Royal Rumble he was victorious over Triple H. And since we haven’t seen Cena in quite some time, I look for Cena and Lashley to get the win. Elias and Owens looked good on Monday night, when they got the better of Lashley and his hype man Lio Rush. Lio Rush is no John Cena, and Cena will be a great partner for Lashley.
gohomepwb.com pick: John Cena & Bobby Lashley
Cedric Alexander vs Buddy Murphy for the Cruiserweight Championship
Cedric Alexander has held the cruiserweight title since he won it at Wrestlemania. He has been a fighting champion defending the title on several occasions since then. This may be my upset pick of the PPV, but I am going with Buddy Murphy. Another superstar who will be wrestling in front of fans in his home country. And what a great moment it would be for Murphy to win the championship in front of his home town fans.
gohomepwb.com pick: Buddy Murphy
Rhonda Rousey and The Bella Twins vs The Riott Squad
Six women tag team action between The Bella’s and Rousey vs The Riott Squad. Should be a good match, with the Australian crowd anxious to see Rhonda Rousey in person. I personally would like to see a Brie Bella, Liv Morgan battle at some point during the match. The focus will most likely be on Rhonda Rousey, and since she has yet to be on the losing side since joining WWE, I really don’t see that changing. She will lock the arm bar on a squad member and pick up the win.
gohomepwb.com pick: Rhonda Rousey and The Bella Twins
Daniel Bryan vs The Miz
Another chapter in the Daniel Bryan/Miz story will be written on Saturday. The Miz has been getting the better of Daniel Bryan in recent weeks, however I don’t think that will be the case at Super Show-Down. But I don’t think Bryan picks up the win. I think this match will go to a no contest. I say that because, we all know this feud is far from over. And declaring one of them as the number one contender for the WWE title will cool the rivalry down. Also, the AJ Styles and Samoa Joe rivalry is far from over.
gohomepwb.com pick: No Contest
Charlotte vs Becky Lynch for Smackdown Womens Championship
This match is probably the one I am looking most forward to watching. Yes even more than Undertaker vs Triple H. Like most of the WWE universe I am loving Becky Lynch right now. I am still patiently waiting on the double turn between Becky and Charlotte, but I believe it will happen at the Evolution PPV, and not at Super Show-Down. And a double turn would be more effective with a title change, therefore I foresee Becky winning the match and retaining the title. The win will not be a clean win though, maybe a cheap shot, or a handful of tights on a school boy pin.
gohomepwb.com pick: Becky Lynch
The Shield vs Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre
I personally think The Shield will be super over in Australia. I think Strowman will dominate the match to remain looking strong, but The Shield will ultimately get the win. Probably pinning Ziggler, who is being coined as the “weak link”. The Shield will win clean.
gohomepwb.com pick: The Shield
Undertaker w/ Kane vs Triple H w/ Shawn Michaels
The build up for this match over the past few weeks has been great to watch, giving us attitude era fans a bit of a nostalgia. It is being billed as the last time ever, but I don’t really think that will be the case. This is another match that I think will end in a no contest, but we will see “DX” get the best of Kane and the Undertaker. This will set up a possible tag team match between the four, fifty year old men. But these are four, fifty year old men that everyone wants to see wrestle. I think we will see all the classic moves, but no winner during the bout.
gohomepwb.com pick: No Contest
AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe for the WWE Championship
AJ Styles is the longest reigning champion in WWE right now, and I think his reign will continue. A no count out, no DQ match will actually benefit Styles in this match. He is the smaller man, but a man with an equalizer, ie. chair, ladder, kendo stick, is something to watch for. I think AJ will use the no DQ to his advantage. With all the personal attacks from Samoa Joe, it would not be so heelish if AJ went nuts and really put a beating on Joe with a weapon or two. That is why I think AJ Styles will come back to the United States still WWE champion.
gohomepwb.com pick: AJ Styles
